Really trying

Okay, I am seriously going to try to blog more.

Today is my day off, I also have Sunday off, but I work tomorrow which stinks. Anyway, the weather people up here in Northern Michigan officially SUCK. I understand it must be hard to predict weather a week ahead of time, because patterns change and all, but they can't get it right the day before! They said "mostly sunny" and that's a crock. It's pretty much overcast with the sun peeking out for 30 seconds here and there. Lately I have been checking www.noaa.gov instead because it seems to be more accurate. I have struck a deal with Mother Nature though and decided that it can rain EVERY SINGLE day from now until July 2, as long as it's nice that weekend for the Blue Angel visit to Traverse City for the Cherry Festival. If you've been reading me for awhile you know how in love with the jets I am! If not, check this post out. Oooh, and this one.

It turns out that Friday (my day off) July 2nd, the Blue Angels practice the show that they will do on Saturday and Sunday. Since I have to work on Saturday I won't be able to to so I will go down to the Bay Friday to watch the practice. Then again on Sunday...WEATHER permitting (yikes). What REALLY sucks is that my work is literally 3 blocks from the Bay and I will be stuck inside Saturday and will be able to hear, and feel, the jets overhead. This will be VERY hard people. I get tears in my eyes when I watch jets fly, I don't know why but I do. It's such a rush and makes me so proud to live in the US.

Tonight we have a birthday party! Jesse James and his brother Cameron Archer are turning 6 and 4. Sean's nephews, my soon to be nephews, although they both call me Aunt Sarah and have for months. For Jesse we got Uno Attack and a velcro paddle catch game. For Cam we got a new fishing pole (because he dropped his in the lake last weekend) and a baseball mitt and ball.

Okay, I got side tracked and just came back to this...guess that's it for now. Have a GREAT weekend!

You are going to implode with your excitement at being there near the blue angels and living right where all the action that you LOVE is!
You are truly living your dream right now, aren't you?

Glad you'll get a chance (or two) to see the Blue Angels fly. I was at my parents over the weekend in St. Cloud, MN and my brother went to see them on Saturday. We could hear them flying over all morning too...pretty impressive!

Have fun!
