Happy Friday!!

I am leaving to pay a visit to SouthEast Michigan tomorrow morning. I will stop by my Dad's and visit with my sister and niece, maybe hang out at the annual PumpkinFest in our hometown. It's been YEARS since I've gone, probably middle school, and it's quite pathetic how excited I am about maybe doing the Cake Walk :)

Last week, in preparation of my Mom coming up mid October, I bought some amazing perennial flower bulbs. She will come up for my birthday and help me plant all of my new babies. I had about $50 left on a giftcard that we got for our wedding shower and I got some pretty cool bulbs. I got the basics, Tulips, Daffodils, and Hyacinth. BUT, I also got some that I had never heard of, some that are "brand new" to this nursery, and some that I don't see often.

"Ice Cream" tulip...brand new to the nursery I went to. Cute huh?

Fritillaria! MANY different types of species. Some smell like rotting meat and eggs...not sure if this one I bought smells like that, we'll see.

Blue Allium, as opposed to the large purple. These are a bit shorter and blue. My mom loves these so I will gift her a few bulbs.

The pregnancy is tooting along. I am 14 weeks and some days and am feeling better as far as nausea. No more B6/ Unisom :) My fatigue is slowly starting to subside but I am still pretty tired on a daily basis. I have started allowing myself a half cup of VERY weak coffee at work. I mix it with Decaf and it helps a little. Yesterday I had a Diet Coke after reading that Aspartame is okay in moderation. Considering I drank MAYBE a soda per week PRE pregnancy, I felt okay with it. I am a bit nervous about the amount of weight I am NOT gaining. I was at 121 this morning. At 4 weeks I think I was at 117. I'm sure it's fine but I need to start eating more...healthy (as always), but more. I am anxious for the next appt., which is the 14th I believe, to hear the heartbeat again to assure me that little Bo is still in there and okay. Totally natural concerns I think but I sure would like to hear it again.

I have not said anything at work yet. I may when I have my one on one meeting next week. I planned on trying to wait until I was 5 months but I don't want them to think I was deceiving. Our busy season hits in April and I will be out that month on leave so I want them to know up front.

I have purchased, so far, three cloth diapers :) We only need about 17 more now. I will try to buy two per month, which should be fine. I cannot believe the number of people who think I am crazy for using them. I think THEY'RE crazy for spending hundreds of dollars on something that will not only harm the environment, but be thrown away daily. To me, it's like flushing dollar bills down the toilet. Cloth saves hundreds of dollars over 3 years and usually kids potty train earlier because they can FEEL the wetness. We will use disposable for about 3-4 weeks and then make the switch. This gives us time for baby's poop to normalize and time for baby to grow into cloth as they are fairly bulky. We can NOT use cloth at daycare so that sucks but as it stands right now, we will only need daycare for about 24 hours/ week so I can deal with that.

Today marks the first day of bow hunting season. Sean, of course, will be out at the family property tomorrow. He has been practicing his bow skills in the backyard and it ready to kill. Poor things.

I re-joined Netflix and am SO excited! Since we now have a PS3 and Wii, we can stream movies instantly that way too, in addition to getting one out at a time. I have the first disc of True Blood coming today. I have seen some of that series but am looking forward to seeing it from the start.

So, that's about it for now. Hope you all have a great weekend! It's really cooling off in Northern Michigan, in the 40's in the morning and 60's during the day. Fall is HERE!
