Well it's about time!

Oh, hello there!

As promised, I am posting. I really do suck at this lately...all this year actually. I guess my life has taken a turn towards boring, which is exactly the opposite of how I thought it would be living up here near everyone. Truth is, I can't hang with the big boys anymore. Too much partying in college I guess, I'm bored with it now.

Anywho, we DID go to a Halloween party. Sean's cousin has one every year, he's our age, and he has a heated pole barn that he hosts in. GREAT food, people dress up, and usually it's a good time made better with a few drinks. Not this year. No drinks for moi ;) I wish I was the type of person that could have fun in any situation, drinking or not. Truth is, I don't have much fun at parties without alcohol. I'm not one to get wasted, Sean swears he's never seen me drunk, but I do like to get a nice mellow buzz and mingle. People are more interesting when I drink :) Oh, and Sean HAS seen me drunk, it's just not obvious because I am a pretty mellow drunk. I miss beer. 4 more months and I can have one or two Miller Lites.

So, we went to the Halloween party, I stayed until 9pm! WOW! 9pm! Nice Sarah...
I did dress up though and in my humble opinion, I had the best costume there. I went as an old lady. Sean went as a gynecologist, Dr. Howie Feltersnatch. I made him get the lab coat. He already had the steth, gloves, mask, and glasses. It was funny. I did his hair, which apparently he is not cutting until baby is here. He's having some contest at work with two other guys. Truth be told, I prefer longer hair but I like when the sides and back are kept neat...Sean's is not. And when it gets this long it starts to curl, which is SO cute and something I PRAY is passed on to the baby because my hair is PIN straight.

FUN!! Sean's cousin Amy, my brother in law Mike (as Billy Ray Cyrus), my sister in law Sommer (as Miley), me, Sean, and our good friend Glenn (as some gross guy).

Sean and I :) I got some of my stuff at Salvation Army. I borrowed the cane, sprayed my hair silver, and put it up in rollers.

We also had our second, and possibly our last ultrasound Thursday. It was AWESOME. We had an intern which upset me at first because I wanted someone who knew what they were doing. However, it worked out in our favor because she took longer to get the pictures she needed AND the senior tech had to come in and check her work which meant we got to see baby TWICE. I was very clear that we did not, in any way, want to know the sex. She told us both when she was near the bladder and butt so we could look away. We saw the heart beating and alot of movement. I have read that baby is more active after I eat so I ate in the car on the way :) Baby was moving!! I apologized to the intern, I didn't think about how hard it would make her job, I was thinking about myself and wanting to see baby move alot. Sean was amazed and loved when we could see baby make a fist, open the hand, and reach up to touch the placenta. Pretty cool! Everything looks great. Baby is measuring 19 weeks and 9 ounces. The heart rate was 146. I was looking through the pictures, which they put on a DVD for me, and am a little worried because in one I swear I see the sex. I'm not going to think too much about it though. I also THINK I have felt very small movements but can't be sure yet. It's not a flutter like people say but more like taps. Either way, I should feel for sure next week or the following. Here, take a look at our sweet pumpkin.

This is the nose and mouth. The large white area is the top lip. My mom doesn't see it but I totally can. They check this to make sure there isn't a cleft palate. YAY!

Stretching the arms :)

Anyway, things are good. I joined the gym last week and will go 3-4 times per week. I have gained about 7 pounds so far and can wear about TWO pairs of pre baby jeans/ pants.

We have SNOW! We got about 2 inches yesterday and it's still around. Not for long, it's supposed to be in the 50's this coming week. I can't wait for Winter. I love the snow, I love the slow driving, I love shoveling, I love Christmas lights and carols. Woo-Hoo!!

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

I can see the nose and mouth! I think it's cuz I'm used to looking at ultrasound pics now that I've had a couple kiddos.
Hey, is there any chance you'll get a 3D one?? Those are awesome too!
Um...let's see...oh, I know! This year you get to go to the Ugly Sweater Christmas party right?! That will be so much fun!
And. That purse you carried with your costume is the UGLIEST thing I've ever seen. Seriously. lol

Sounds like you had a great ultrasound appt! I'm so glad that everything turned out good.

And, I can totally see those movie-star lips! Can your mom see it yet?

I had my ultrasound on Monday. We definitely wanted to know the sex, so we found out that we're having a girl! :o)

But we didn't get a DVD like you did. Just 5 pictures to take home. Boo. I wish I had a DVD instead. :o(
